Five strengths

Each puzzle in the books is rated from one bean to five, the same beans the app shows on its Decaf and Regular buttons. Each strength is about twice the work of the one before.

• Beginner

  Sips (5×5), mostly with the blanks shown.

• Easy

  Sips with the blanks hidden, and gentle Cups.

• Medium

  Cups (7×7), either way.

• Hard

  Tough Regular Cups, and Pots (9×9) with the blanks shown.

• Expert

  Regular Pots: 9×9, blanks hidden. Bring a second cup.

The same rules

Every row and column gives you its letters, jumbled. Every puzzle is checked by machine to have exactly one answer and a logical way to reach it, and the solutions are at the back. On paper there's no Check button, so a pencil with a good eraser helps. New to Plingles? Here's how to play.
